Free for Mac and web
Lemon Code for your Mac.
The Lemon Code you use on the web, running on your own Mac. Same sign-in, same agent, same connectors and the same screens. It works directly in the folders on your computer instead of a cloud workspace.
Checking the latest version…

- Works on
- Apple silicon Macs with macOS 12 or later
- SHA-256
To check your download, run in Terminal and compare the result with the line
above.
This build is not notarized by Apple yet, so macOS does not open it at first. Try to open Lemon Code once, then go to System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll to the message about Lemon Code and click Open Anyway.
If macOS still will not start it, copy Lemon Code to Applications and run this once in Terminal, then open it
again: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Lemon Code.app"
The Mac download is not published yet
Lemon Code works in your browser today, with the same account and the same agent. This page shows the Mac download here as soon as it is published, and we do not ask for your email.

Five steps
Install in a minute.
Download the disk image above and open it.
Drag Lemon Code onto the Applications folder, then eject the disk image.
Open Lemon Code from Applications.
The first time, your Mac asks for your Mac password to keep your sign-in safe in your Keychain. Enter it and click Always Allow so it does not ask again.
Sign in with Google in your browser. It sends you back to the app.
Lemon Code runs commands and edits files on your Mac, and by default it asks before anything risky. What we collect, and your choices about it, are on the privacy page.
Staying current
Updates.
Lemon Code tells you when a newer version is out: choose Check for Updates in its menu bar. If your version is too old to keep working, it asks you to update before you go on. It does not install updates by itself yet. To update, download the new disk image from this page and drag Lemon Code over the old one in Applications. Your account and settings stay where they are.
Prefer not to install anything?
Lemon Code runs in your browser too, in its own cloud workspace, with the same account.
