Privacy

This page says what Lemon Code collects, why, who else handles it, how long it is kept and how to have it deleted. It is the first version of this policy, written in plain words, and it will change as the product does. Last updated 18 October 2026.

What we collect

Lemon Code collects nothing for your account until you have made the sharing choice shown when you first use it. While sharing is on we keep a copy of:

We remove passwords, keys and tokens that match well known shapes from text before it is stored. This is a best effort: it does not cover compressed workspace copies or attachments, and it can miss secrets in unusual forms.

Why

To run the service, to look into problems and to evaluate and improve Lemon Code. Our team reads this data for those purposes. This first version does not rule out using it to evaluate or train models; if that becomes a plan we will say so on this page first.

Who else handles it

How long we keep it

Nothing expires on its own. Data we kept stays until you ask us to delete it.

Deleting your data

Write to privacy@lemoncode.ai from the address you signed up with, and we delete what we hold about you within 30 days. Copies held by the providers above follow their own rules.

Opting out

You can turn data sharing off at any time: in Settings on the web, or in Settings on the Mac app (the choice covers your whole account). Turning it off stops future collection. It does not delete what was already kept; ask us for that as described above. On the Mac, Pause stops only the upload of the conversation log for a while; it does not stop model requests, tool use or the copy of connected apps.
